Chilean quirks

- it is common for doorknobs to be placed in the centre of the door. Reminds me of the doors at the Eaton Centre in Toronto or the metro in Montreal that have the hinge in the middle of the door - frustration!

- you have to fry your rice before you boil it.

- laundry detergent is really goopy, kind of like trying to pour jam. Very messy.

- streets in Santiago tend to be one way, like Hamilton but to the extreme.
