Finishing up the coast
In our last two days by the coast, we took the bus up the coast to visit another of the beach communities, and went inland to visit la Campana national park. The beach town we stopped at was supposed to be the place to go for good hearty seafood but we were scratching our heads at that one. We did enjoy our walk along the Pacific though, as there were some houses with beautiful gardens, and wildflowers were blooming on the steep hills hugging the coast.
La Campana had us taking the new subway to the end of the line, this is a line that would never get built in Canada as it seemed to connect relatively small communities separated by hilly countryside. We had a nice leisurely hike to a lookout point and chuckled that our new definition of a nice hike barely got us onto the park map.
In other news, one of us has learned how to clap and sprouted a fifth tooth. Things seem so much more exciting when you can clap!
