Lake District

We went from hot, sunny coast to cool, rainy lake district. We flew to Puerto Montt, then went 20 minutes north to stay in a town called Puerto Varas for one night. The next day we took a full day of boats and buses to cross into Argentina, going through what we believe would have been spectacular scenery had it not been so rainy. The ride was still nice, and we have our fingers crossed that the weather will be a bit better for our return journey tomorow. We are currently in San Carlos de Baroloche, which seems to have a chocolate shop on every corner. The food definitely seems more appealing in Argentina so far, not that the food was bad in Chile but it was getting repetitive.
Not a reproduction! Actual statue (?) from Easter Island. We did go into the museum so we should know how to refer them, but the english translations were spotty.
